About Sony Hall
ABOUT SONY HALL Sony Hall is the new premiere music venue in New York City focused on presenting world renowned performing artists across all music genres, powered by state of the art technology. Owned/operated by Blue Note Entertainment Group and sponsored by Sony Corporation, Sony Hall is located in the heart of New York's Theatre District (at the Paramount Hotel), with capacities of 1,000 standing and 500 seated, and a full-service restaurant and bar. Sony Hall will be equipped with Sony's technologies, integrated throughout the 12,000 square-foot venue to deliver enhanced entertainment experiences to fans. HISTORIC LOCATION Sony Hall is located in a space that is one of New York’s most celebrated historic venues, previously know as The Diamond Horseshoe. Established in 1938 by theatrical showman and impresario Billy Rose, the Diamond Horseshoe was known for its lavish dinner theaters, vaudeville-style reviews, and chorus of showgirls known as “Billy Rose’s long-stemmed beauties.” The venue is widely recognized as giving Gene Kelly his start and was celebrated in the 1945 feature film "Billy Rose’s Diamond Horseshoe” starring Betty Grable. “Queen of the Night,” the theater show that became one of the longest running shows in Off-Broadway history, was the space’s most recent occupant. Blue Note and Sony have preserved much of the classic look and feel of the venue with select renovations. RESTAURANT & BAR Sony Hall offers full menus at all of our events, with something for everyone. On our menu for seated dining, we offer a wide range of appetizers, entrees and homemade desserts. For our standing shows, we have limited seating available if you prefer to arrive early for dinner, as well as menus that compliment our bar drinks with items designed to be enjoyed while viewing concerts.
