Welcome to Sophie-Lou Photography! Well, Hello there and thank you for stopping by. Well, I should start by introducing myself and saying a few things about us. So, I started Sophie-Lou Photography in 2014 after spending around 5 years working within a High Street Photo Studio. I mainly worked on Studio based Children’s and Family shoots. However, quite quickly, I was asked to cover Weddings and Corporate Photography. I met Ashley in 2016 and he has been prominent in the ongoing success of my business, pushing me to constantly work out of my comfort zone, try different photographic practices, and try new ideas. In 2017 we were blessed with our daughter, Aluna-Grace. She has been my main motivation to succeed and grow my business each year. Always on hand to try new poses and props. Having been gifted a camera at around 3 Years old, she has been taking her own pictures, most recently lining up her dollies, asking them to say ‘Cheese’, proudly showing us her results, and exclaiming “just like Mummy”. A third member of the team in the making? Ashley has an eye for the finer details and finds creative shots. Often using Vintage lenses to create some very unique Photographs. He is my second shooter on weddings, this allows us to offer 2 very different perspectives of your day. In 2019 Ashley underwent training to further his knowledge of Videography and is proud to be able to offer this to our Bride’s and Grooms. I have an intimate and traditional approach to my Studio Portraiture and I love shooting out on location, using the beautiful landscapes we have around us here in Essex to make lasting memories. Using my extensive training in Wedding Photography, I naturally use the flow of the day to create a Documentary style gallery of your day. Ashley is a documentary-style photographer and Videographer with a specialty for placing himself in locations to capture beautiful candid shots. Ashley had an interest in photography starting in his early teens.
