About SOS!SEN

SOS!SEN is an independent UK charity helping families secure the right educational support for children and young people with SEND. Our team of over 70 volunteers with firsthand experience, provides legally-based advice and practical guidance to confidently navigate the SEND system. We support parents, carers, and young people in every phase of their journey. With a 95% success rate at Tribunal and 1400 helpline calls answered yearly, we empower all children to reach their full potential through the provisions they deserve. We also raise awareness of SEND challenges through training, campaigning, and lobbying, ensuring all legal duties to children are fulfilled. Our services include: • Expert Advice: Free helpline, walk-in advice centres, 1:1 appointments, training workshops, and webinars to address specific cases. • Documentation Casework: Reviewing draft EHCPs, preparing parental Grounds of Appeal, providing Tribunal documents (e.g. Working Document), supporting the Annual Review process, issuing pre-action letters for Judicial Review, and advising on provision enforcement. • Resource Bank: Access to our website, booklets, information sheets, and webinars offering legally-based advice, guidance, and responses to frequently asked questions.
