Founded by Ryan T. Schmidt, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas sculpting for over 15 years, SoulArt produces the finest stainless steel sculptures for indoor or outdoor venues. Schmidt's intention is to create atmospheric sculptures that captures the everlasting properties of the sun, water, clouds, and the seasonal landscapes or the inside reflection of interior placement invoking the viewer's imagination for inspiration of great healing and thoughtfulness. Ideas of shapes and concepts in sweeping arcs consisting of curvilinear, sleek lines and elegant form sculpted into a realized form. The sketches come to life in a three dimensional sculpture. The finish is highly polished to create brilliant and complex mirrored images of organic transformation in the surface of the form as contrast between existence and illusion. His main concept is the reflection of the outside world and within on the artwork. Through the curves and smooth lines, his work brings out the feel of free-flowing spirit. Simplicity and importance of life is what he is encouraging through the reflections of sculpture. Schmidt has exhibited throughout California, Michigan, Arkansas, Florida, and Taiwan. He won “First Place” at Hot Springs 4th Sculpture Showcase, Arkansas (2009), “First Place” at the 11th Indian Wells Arts Festival, California (2013), placed “Top 25” at ArtPrize in Michigan (2017, 2015), “Third place” in Coconut Grove Arts Festival (2017), and received a Proskauer Prize Award at the 85th Annual Awards of National Sculpture Society in Brookgreen Gardens, South Carolina (2018); his notable public works can be found in Grand Rapids, Miami, Denver, Little Rock, and Hot Springs.
