About Sound Bookkeepers
Sound Bookkeepers is more than a bookkeeping company. We serve two very important purposes. First is the recording and reporting. This is the basic function of bookkeeping, what did you earn, what did you spend money on, and what do you need to report to the state and federal government? These are all important, essential, required functions for any business and for any bookkeeper. In that way, we are excellent, but where we go above and beyond, is where most bookkeeping firms stop. We then dive into what those numbers mean. What is your revenue growth? What is your cost of acquisition, cost of sale, fixed expenses, what percentage of your expenses goes to payroll, materials, what is your monthly nut, etc. If you have the raw numbers but you are not using this data to further squeeze your company for every dollar it's worth, it's like half squeezing an orange and then throwing it out. You still end up with juice, but at a much higher cost, and it's the same juice. We start by confirming everything is up to date, everything is filed and reconciled. Then we create whatever is necessary to capture and display the information to answer the questions you have about the financial health of your business. Where do you look when you have a question about your business? Do you have an excel spreadsheet? QuickBooks? How about a piece of paper where you scribble things down? Do any of these act as an actual dashboard? The best way to make your business run right is to have a gauge on everything, specific target ranges, and then to concentrate on tuning it to keep all the gauges in the right range. It works with cars, planes, boats, trains, breweries, and pump stations, why isn't it used more frequently in business? Even when we do the ability to look at some of our business statistics, we rarely have enough time to thoroughly investigate each of them. That's why we are leaders in this industry, that's what we do.
