About Sound Expression

Sound Expression is a dedicated music therapy clinic in Sydney providing Individual Music Therapy, Group Music Therapy and Supported Music Lessons for children and adults. We have a very strong sense of purpose in providing a professional and friendly service to our clients and community. We pride ourselves on our vision in creating a Centre for Music Therapy Excellence, helping to realise our clients’ full potential through the power of music. Our absolute focus is on providing outstanding service to our clients. We use a ‘strengths-based, person-centred’ approach where we initially focus on what a person can do, rather than what they cannot do. From there we build capacity in our clients and assist them to achieve their goals and develop their skills, to transfer them into their daily life in a practical and lasting way. Sound Expression was founded in 2015 by Iani and Rob Devlin, a husband and wife team who are the Owners and Directors. We have an expert and passionate team of Registered Music Therapists with extensive experience, supporting people of all ages and abilities regardless of music skills, culture or background. All our therapists are Registered Music Therapists, which means they are registered with the AMTA. We continue to perform an industry leadership and mentorship role, presenting on music therapy to both national and international audiences. We’ve also won various business awards including the Norther Districts Local Business Awards and were a finalist in the 2022 Telstra Best of Business Awards.
