SOSI has been acquired by OKeanus Science & Technology!! Sound Ocean Systems, Inc. (SOSI) located in Redmond, Washington, is now part of Okeanus Science & Technology, LLC! In the fall of 2016, Okeanus acquired the business assets of Sound Ocean System, Inc. Okeanus will continue to produce the same high quality products we are known for, and will expand in to new and exciting markets we have yet to see! SOSI has designed and built quality marine systems, equipment and components since 1978. As Okeanus, we continue to manufacture a broad spectrum of ocean observation, shipboard, in-water/underwater, and port security systems and equipment. These include ocean observation and environmental data logging systems such as shallow water and coastal oceanographic data buoys, bottom platforms, and system components such as towers, bridles, data loggers, controllers, moorings, and submersible diesel generator power modules. We are most know for our custom deck equipment such as instrumentation winches, ROV umbilical winches, and launch & recovery systems for towed bodies and autonomous vehicles. We continue to produce underwater equipment such as neutrally buoyant and heavy towed bodies, specialized remotely operated vehicles, submarine cable embedment systems and ocean mining systems for shallow to 6,000 meter depth operation; and marine security systems such as integrated diver detection, waterside security, and longer range detection and tracking systems and equipment. As always, we also provide contract engineering, design, and project management services to meet any customer requirement.
