SASMEA aims to unlock resources from the political and economic centres as a catalyst for the creation and development of sustainable SMME’s. Building on SASMEF’s 10 years of commitment to changing the small business landscape. Objectives: - To be fully representative of the South African SMME community - To provide effective and relevant benefits and services for members - Seek to create an equitable and ethical business environment between big business, government and SMME’s - To promote the professional development and education of persons in the various functional specialities of management; administration and finance; - To cooperate, liaise and consult with local and international professional and similar business organizations on matters related to the development of SMME’s. - To maintain an appropriate and effective infrastructure that includes a sound organization structure and a healthy financial resource base to implement and meaningful manage the above goals. - To perform research, training and development for SMME’s to increase profitability, productivity and efficiency in all such undertakings. - To provide and disseminate relevant information on developments and trends in the various aspects of the conducting of business activities in the SMME sectors. - To speak authoritatively on matters affecting SMME’s.
