Paradise Valley Hospital's South Bay Rehabilitation Center is the only acute inpatient rehabilitation program serving South Bay residents. We are a CARF-accredited stroke specialty center! Our specialized inpatient and outpatient programs include a complete range of treatment for patients with disabilities, designed to meet each patient's unique needs. By restoring independence through rehabilitation, our goal is to facilitate significant improvement to each patient's quality of life. Paradise Valley Hospital's 22-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit treats the following diagnoses: Stroke Orthopedic conditions Neurological conditions Spinal cord injury Brain dysfunction Amputation Spinal cord dysfunction Arthritis Pain syndromes Burns Congenital deformities and other conditions The South Bay Rehabilitation Center offers patients a variety of therapeutic services on an inpatient and an outpatient basis—all customized to meet our patient's specific needs and goals. Therapeutic Services include: Physical Therapy – hands-on treatment for orthopedic and neurologic conditions Occupational Therapy – treatment focused on return-to-daily activities and productive employment. We also provide specialized hand rehabilitation Speech Pathology – treatment of communication difficulties, swallowing disorders and problems with cognitive (thinking) skills
