About South & East Leeds Group Limited
What is the SEL GP Group? We are a GP federation. This a company that has been formed by 30 GP practices in South and East Leeds covering over 220,000 patients. We are a limited company but we are non-profit and our only shareholders are the GP practices. Our practices felt that this was necessary to protect the core values of general practice as the NHS undergoes a period of modernisation and change. What is it for? We want to lead our practices through this period of change. Helping to ensure primary care and general practice is at the heart of healthcare provision. We have a responsibility to make sure our (and your) opinion is heard whenever changes to primary care are planned or discussed. The group also aims to provide support and services for its member practices. This will include setting up new services for you, employing new staff to work with you and your practice and helping practices work together with each other and the wider health and social system.
