South Italy Imports llc (SII) was started in 2001 to supply the restaurant industry with products imported from Southern Italy such as pizza sauce, whole peeled and chopped tomatoes, artisanal pastas and extra virgin olive oil. We continue to serve our customers with high quality products like our private label whole peeled tomatoes from Puglia. In 2005, we began to import wines from the estate of Cantore di Castelforte, our first vineyard. Bill Binczak, President of SII, recognized great possibilities for importing wine and in 2009 created a new business model for South Italy Imports. His goal: to introduce Americans to the indigenous wines of all 20 regions of Italy. With over 1,600 varietals in the country, this is no small task. By focusing on the wines Italians drink every day, we began developing our portfolio. We now partner with 12 vineyards in eight regions across Italy.
