We have four towns with populations of more than 20,000 (East Kilbride, Hamilton, Rutherglen and Cambuslang) and 23 other towns and settlements with more than 1000 residents. As a partner in the Clyde Gateway programme, our area is experiencing significant social, economic and physical changes especially following the recent completion of improvements to the Raith Interchange on the M74 which will continue to stimulate growth and competitiveness, establishing South Lanarkshire as one of the foremost places in the West of Scotland for start-up and established businesses to thrive.
