About Southern California Hospitalist Network
Since inception in 1999, SCHN has grown into the largest provider of Hospitalist services in Southern California serving the needs of the private medical staff in over forty hospitals, working with over 15 medical groups, managing the in-house hospitalist programs of three major medical centers and serving as the provider for over 750,000 managed care lives under contract with Health plans and IPAs. SCHN was established with the intent to create a county wide presence of comprehensive in-network services as well as out of network programs. The result was the ability to respond to admissions anywhere within the geographic area and ensure that each patient was seen by a Hospitalist who would evaluate, treat or transfer the patient based on evidence-based medicine.
