About Southern Esports Conference
The Southern Esports Conference (SEC) began in 2022 as a friendly LAN match between Auburn University and the University of Georgia, but it has since generated significant interest and expanded to include 24 D1 colleges. As a result of the students' goals and aspirations, the SEC has grown into a regional Esports conference, providing an opportunity for collegiate Esports teams to compete against local rivals in response to the demand for more localized competition.
