About Southern Star
Southern Star, DISH Network’s largest Regional Service Provider (RSP), has been in business since 1985. Originally Fields Satellite, the company got its start selling, installing, and servicing C-Band satellite systems. In the 90’s the company sold, installed and serviced Primestar, RCA, and DirecTV systems. In 2001, Southern Star joined forces with DISH Network as their RSP in much of Texas and Arkansas, as well as locations in Oklahoma & Louisiana. From the beginning, Southern Star has set itself apart in the industry as a quality and growth leader and is now the largest RSP in the country, servicing over 35,000 customers per month. We have earned a reputation as an employer of choice by living by our core values of Respect, Customer Focus, and Continuous Improvement. We employ over 600 employees, many satellite technicians, in 15 offices. The company is on an exciting trajectory forward as we strive to become DISH Network’s best RSP and expand into other areas of the in-home service business.
