Southland Safety specializes in on-site safety. Our safety personnel are both flexible and mobile; Southland has fully-equipped mobile classroom trailers that can be utilized on any jobsite. Southland’s safety personnel are all certified FA/CPR instructors, drug and alcohol test collectors, and have all been trained in incident investigation procedures. We also staff EMTs for jobs that are inherently more dangerous and remote, or for clients who request a safety man with the additional certification. Southland also offers a wide variety of safety training, including OSHA and MSHA-related training and certification, Competent Person, HAZWOPER, Fire Extinguisher (with a digital fire trainer from Bullex) training, Hot Work, Confined Space, and General Safe Work Permitting, Trenching and Shoring, First Aid/CPR, New Employee Orientation (NEO), and Fit Testing (both quantitative and qualitative), etc. Southland Safety provides on-site high-angle and confined space rescue technicians and medical services teams to oil and gas operators and contractors. Southland has mobile response units that are specially equipped for technical rescue support and on-site medical services. Southland has a state-of-the-art training facility for both high-angle and confined space rescue technicians. Our technicians are highly qualified and experienced in oil & gas operations. All of Southland’s medical services technicians have been trained in both construction site safety and a specially designed class on the treatment of common oil & gas eye injuries (i.e. the removal of foreign objects, etc.) Southland Safety has more than a dozen OQ Evaluators that are authorized by all of the major OQ Providers to evaluate and issue your employees their respective qualifications. Southland evaluators will travel to you, anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
