SouthSiderStudios is an Iowa-based, digital media company. SouthSiderStudios was founded in 2005 when a group of talented individuals collaborated on Des Moines’s inaugural 48 Hour Film Project. Since then, they have produced multiple, award-winning short films that have been featured at local, national and international film festivals. Since then, SouthSiderStudios has expanded into other directions on the entertainment compass. In 2007, SouthSiderStudios hit the airwaves with the SouthSiderStudios Podcasting System. In just a few short years, the line-up has grown to include podcasts about sports, television, comics and trains. The curtain was raised in 2009 on SouthSiderStudios’ Theatre Department which has become award-wining in its own right, garnering many rave reviews. Last, but certainly not least, are our shutterbugs in the Photography Studio. These guys and gals are busy year-round capturing that perfect moment in time. Many of their pictures have been shown around-the-world in competition and advertisements.
