About Southwest Association Of Rail Shippers (Swars)

The Southwest Association of Rail Shippers (SWARS) territory includes the Republic of Mexico and the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Southern California (from and including Fresno and points South thereof), Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. The objective of the association is to provide an open forum for railroads, shippers and others to meet and discuss matters of mutual interest. Topics include, but are not limited to, service, car supply, scheduling, operating practices, technology, etc. Conferences are held twice a year; in the spring and fall at varying locations within SWARS’ territory. SWARS is open to everyone involved in rail transportation including but not limited to rail shippers and receivers, railroads, vendors, 3rd parties, regulators and others. Membership dues are automatically included in conference registration fees and are valid for one year from the date of such meeting. To join SWARS, just register and pay for one of our conferences. Our conference registration fees includes one reception (on the eve of our conference) plus continental breakfast, lunch, two breaks and another reception on the day of our conference.
