About SPADE Indexes

Launched in 2004, SPADE Indexes LLC is a private organization independent of Wall Street and the broker/dealer community that designs, develops, and maintains equity indexes--sector, regional, thematic, and technical strategies. Our SPADE Defense Index, the oldest and most complete benchmark covering the sector, has been licensed by Invesco for its Aerospace & Defense ETF (NYSE: PPA). The Index, with data back to 1997, has nearly $1 billion in assets tracking its performance. Our SPADE Defense Index (ticker: DXS) benchmarks the investment performance of companies involved with defense, homeland/national security, and space. The Index is typically composed of more than 50 firms systematically important to the U.S. Department of Defense, with representative business activities including: naval vessels, military aircraft, missiles and munitions, battlespace awareness, C4ISR, cybersecurity, network centric warfare, homeland security/national security including border security and biometric and screening systems, and space systems.
