With beginnings in Switzerland over 108 years ago, Spahr Metric established its U.S. office in Winchester, Virginia in 1997. The doors of the U.S. office officially opened on September 4th, 1997. After operating in the U.S. for over eight years, expanding its customer base (which has more than quadrupled), and soaking up over 108 years of extensive market knowledge - in late 2004, Spahr Metric, Inc. Winchester detached from its Swiss parent company. Chantal Aeschbach-Powell, the former VP who spearheaded the start-up of the Winchester Office, became a partner and President/CEO of the business in 2010. Most recently, in December 2012, Spahr Metric registered as a small woman owned business with the U.S. SBA and can be found on the buyers guide for Government procurement. Spahr is also listed with the Department of Minority Business Enterprise (DMBE) in Virginia.
