Spalling Worx prides itself, in not only looking at REDECORATING a building by applying paint to walls but in looking at REFURBISHMENT of the building, by taking a close look at the structure. To this end, we look at damp and spalling in walls - please do not confuse dampproofing with the waterproofing of roofs. We work closely with our suppliers, including Sika, ABE and Stoncor who look at each project individually and lay out a specification that is unique to each individual building. Our suppliers also carry out regular site visits to ensure each specification has been adhered to. We have invested hundreds of thousands of Rands in equipment used for our spalling and concrete repairs. This equipment includes diamond grinders and chippers. We work closely with structural engineers, whom we invite on a regular basis to assist in writing the specifications and monitoring of each site. We even go to the extent of rebuilding entire walls which have been condemned and proceed to pin entire facades with stainless steel rods/pins where necessary. The extent of spalling is often not seen in its entirety, so our team has been highly trained to ensure that all of our quotes are as accurate as possible when identifying the amount of spalling, and other damaged, to be fixed.
