MISSION: Spare Parts advances reuse education through the arts. CORE VALUES: To support cultural and environmental sustainability; to provide affordability and accessibility to the arts; to offer community education; and to foster creativity, green-style. VISION: Spare Parts is dedicated to increasing reuse practices. Through programing, education and physical development, Spare Parts empowers citizens to reduce landfill tonnage through reuse and environmental accountability. Specific Purpose Programs are created to accomplish its purpose in the following categories: ● Mini Art Museum: The Mini Art Museum was created to bring the fine arts experience to schools and the community. Exhibition artwork is by professional artists and curated to express different, individual themes. ● Professional Development: (teachers and Spare Parts Educators) Reuse art education, activities and corresponding curriculum for teachers K-12 and Spare Parts Educators are critical to furthering our mission and purpose. ● Creative Reuse Educational Programming: The value of Spare Parts' purpose increases annually with invitations to participate in community and school programs, festivals and family educational events. ● Spare Parts Exhibitions: To educate the public about reuse through art, through partnerships with artists and artistic programs, culminating in community exhibitions.
