About Spark Growth!
Spark Growth provides in class enrichment projects to three different school sites, servicing over 700 students in the Morongo Unified School district. These three school sites are the most remote and undeserved schools in the district. Spark Growth reads to students in the class setting and follows up with an enrichment art project that is in line with the theme of the book read. Typically the themes focus on Social Emotional learning. Students also receive a take home family enrichment activity to further the learning to the families in the home. All projects follow the California Common Core and curriculum standards. All projects and take home activities are provided free of charge to students and families. All supplies and handouts for the activities in the classroom or for the take home are furnished by Spark Growth. Instruction and preparation of enrichment activities are furnished by Spark Growth and its volunteers. Our hope is to foster connections with students and families through literacy, art and creativity in our community.
