About SPAX Pacific
SPAX is one of the leading screw brands in Europe and the USA. SPAX International in Germany produces more than 50 million screws every day. The company was founded in 1823 under the name Altenloh, Brinck & Co. and was the first German company to undertake the industrial manufacturing of screws. In 1967 SPAX was created - the first universal screw to have its own brand name and logo. From the very beginning, SPAX was systematically designed as a quality product and marketed exclusively in the characteristically green packaging. 2017 saw SPAX celebrate its 50th anniversary as a successful brand product. Frustrated by the lack of quality screws in the Australian marketplace and well aware of the strong reputation that SPAX enjoys with builders in Europe, Michael Koenig set up a distribution network for SPAX International in the Pacific. Today SPAX Pacific is a subsidiary of SPAX International, a SPAX importation and distribution network to service the Pacific region. SPAX is now specified by architects, engineers and builders throughout the world. The business has grown substantially since it started, demonstrating that the local industry has recognized the advantages of the SPAX product. SPAX provides end-users with an engineered screw system that can be faster and easier to use, helping to cut labour costs. SPAX products are engineered to last and to keep ongoing maintenance to a minimum. SPAX screws are certified as Made In Germany by TUV - one of the only screws that can make this claim when so much manufacturing is carried out in Asian countries with cheap labour costs and poor environmental and quality standards.
