About Speak The Speech UK
Speak The Speech is a boutique, highly specialised Communication Skills training company that is based in London but travels all over the globe helping people of all nationalities become exceptional speakers. Our bespoke coaching empowers our clients with the gift of great communication. The company started life back in 1998 when its two directors, Duncan Holmes (Boo) and Jonathan Bacon, formed a partnership and created a course that blended two worlds: the world of business and the world of theatre. Jonathan had worked at Lloyds of London whilst Boo had managed a Travel Company and both had left their jobs to train at the world-renowned London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. From there they went on to become classical actors working with The Royal Shakespeare Company and in numerous films and TV shows. Clients quickly discovered that Jon and Boo’s skills and experience learned from those two worlds helps to create the perfect recipe for becoming powerful and impactful communicators. Mike Kelly joined in 2010. Mike has also brought years of experience, performing under intense pressure in some of the most prestigious theatres in Europe and appearing in numerous high profile movies and TV series. What is transferable to the business world? Energy, clarity, conviction, intent, presence and gravitas. Jan Rees has brought 30 years of expertise in behavioural insights, empowering people to understand themselves and others better. Reflecting our experience and passion, all the courses are high-energy and high-impact and remain totally relevant to the business world of today. Our carefully balanced approach is what makes an immediate and noticeable difference. Most of our participants declare feeling transformed by the end of the day, and often conclude that the course is the best they have ever attended. The beauty of the coaching is that the skills are instantly transferable to the workplace, often leading to life-changing results.
