About Specialty Tutoring Inc
Since 1999, Specialty Tutoring has been a welcoming space for children who struggle with learning and need a professional, yet affordable option for help. We are well-established and respected in our area, with a high rate of referrals from local school districts, Fort Wayne Neuropsychology, and many satisfied parents. Specialty Tutoring fills a critical void in our community by meeting a specialized need that the schools and other services cannot. We target four curriculum areas—reading fluency, math, comprehension, and writing—using research-based Lindamood-Bell programs, designed specifically for kids with diagnosed difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, or ADHD. Our unique combination of these proven programs plus targeted, interactive work on cognitive learning skills (memory, attention, processing, reasoning) is an approach not found anywhere else in the area. At the middle and high school ages, we offer homework help and develop independence through study and organizational skills. Financial assistance is available based on need. Specialty Tutoring is a proud partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Wayne, providing small group individualized math and reading tutoring at several sites. We appreciate this opportunity to bring our specialized programs to these kids—to nurture in them the skills and confidence they need to overcome barriers that so often prevent them from reaching their true potential. Specialty Tutoring has spent the last 24+ years building a program that works for local families from all income levels. Kids who once experienced fear and anxiety every day at school now know what it feels like to be successful.
