Spence Search Partners is an executive legal recruiting firm connecting outstanding clients (both law firms and companies) with outstanding legal talent. We maintain a strict focus on attorney recruitment and specialize in partner-level and General Counsel-level laterals. Our President and C.E.O., Patricia Spence, started Spence Search Partners in 2008 after spending several years as a litigator in Cleveland, Ohio. Her husband, Chad, joined the firm as C.O.O. in 2015 after spending several years in private practice then as general counsel for a corporation. Our Senior Recruiting Associate, Lavinia Mason, also joined the firm in 2015 after spending 11 years with a national recruiting firm focused on the legal industry in the Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego markets. Lavinia has been directly or indirectly responsible for a multitude of legal-industry placements during her impressive career. Martha Walker has served as Patricia's research associate for the past 5 years and offers invaluable support to the entire team. Martha's specialty is finding unique talent in unique places.
