Today, SSG is a self-performing overseas base construction firm and base operations supplier of construction materials and base maintenance items to Military installations and government contractors worldwide. Supply and Logistics SpendSmart Group distributes more than 1.5 million individual items from more than 1,000 different manufacturers and partners with 68 distribution centers around the world. In addition to operating domestic and international COCESS facilities, SSG services a number of other CONUS DOD installations through base specific BPA (blank purchase agreement) contract vehicles. Internationally, SSG services numerous bases and FOB’s in Afghanistan, Iraq, the UAE and East Africa. These operations provide in-theater stock of construction and base maintenance materials – in many locations we were the first and only of its kind. In essence, SpendSmart Group brought the idea of an in-theater stocked warehouses to dangerous war zones because of its understanding of base needs.
