Many who work with the PB Finalist(R) and StreamWeaver(R) products will remember Dave Sperry from the five years he provided technical support for Pitney Bowes Software Services. Dave's daily personal goal was to provide the highest quality of support possible. Eventually becoming the lead support analyst for StreamWeaver(R), Dave's extensive StreamWeaver control file knowledge was useful When he tested the product's implementation of Intelligent Mail barcode support prior to its initial release. Dave also supported Finalist(R) at the time a total re-write of the product was being prepared. Dave did the first system testing of the new application program interface, and wrote the sample COBOL user program included in the product documentation. Dave concluded his time at Pitney Bowes as an Advanced Systems Analyst in the Mailstream Development Center. There he developed applications using Microsoft Access and the Pitney Bowes PBFirst(R) product, along with Planet Press(R) from Objectif Lune. He also served as a resource to Sales support for document imaging applications. In addition to coursework at DePaul University and the Illinois Institute of Technology, Dave has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University. He has also earned CompTIA Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+) certification.
