Sphera Energy is a clean energy platform based in Italy focused on delivering utility-scale Energy Storage assets that accelerate decarbonization of our electrical grids. Founded by a team of Renewable industry veterans, Sphera Energy benefits from decades of combined entrepreneurial and corporate experience in delivering investment grade projects and growing clean energy businesses in Italy and globally. At Sphera Energy we identify, develop, finance and implement projects that drive decarbonization of the electricity network. We work with landowners, local communities, industry leading technology providers and advisors to ensure our projects meet the strictest criteria of sophisticated international investors and funders. We differentiate ourselves by managing the entire development lifecycle from the initial concept to delivery of shovel ready investable assets. Sustainability is the cornerstone of everything we do. This goes all the way from our fundamental mission to decarbonize the grid, to our strict business ethics code. It manifests itself in our curated approach to the environmental integration of our projects. Communication is always key. We operate locally with landowners and communities to ensure all stakeholders have a say. Sphera Energy is backed by Combigas Group, a long standing energy sector group based in the north of Italy, in Emilia Romagna, with +300 mEUR of yearly turnover. Combigas has been active for 40 years across a broad range of energy-related businesses from trading of petroleum products to petrol stations, to energy efficiency solutions, to cogeneration equipment as well as B2C and B2B renewable energy solutions.
