The SPMS- Shared Services of the Ministry of Health, EPE has the legal person of public law nature of business nature, with legal personality, administrative and financial autonomy and its own assets, in accordance with the legal regime of the state of the business sector approved by Decree-Law No. 133/2013, of 03 October, subject to the protection of members of the Government responsible for finance and health. Was created in 2010 by Decree-Law No. 19/2010, of March 22, as amended by Decree-Law No. 108/2011 of 17 November, by Decree-Law 209/2015, of September 25 and Decree-Law 32/2016 of 28 June and by Decree-Law No. 69/2017 of 16 June, with the mission to provide shared services - in the areas of purchasing and logistics, financial services, human resources and systems and information and communication technologies - entities with specific activity in health, in order to "centralize, optimize and rationalize" the procurement of goods and services in the National health Service.
