OUR HISTORY: Sport Zone is the largest sports retail company in Portugal, where it started its activity in 1997, launched by Sonae. Pursuing a growth strategy, it began an internationalization process in 2008, by opening the first store in Madrid, and by the year 2014 opened its first franchise store in Ceuta. 21 years latter it counts with more than 2.000 employes and 110 stores, most of them located in the best Shopping Centers, in 6 different countries. On January 2018, Sport Zone together with three other well known retail insignias - JD, Sprinter and Size? - formed Iberian Sports Retail Group (ISRG), the 2nd largest retailer in the Iberian Peninsula in the sports sector, with an estimated market share of +11%, reached by a store network of +300 stores and by a team of 6,000 people. OUR STORES: In its stores Sport Zone offers more than 300 brands from sports articles to athleisure, made up of renowned brands (Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, NB, ...) and its own brands (Doone, Outpace, Team Quest), positioned at competitive price level, to give customers the opportunity to mix & match articles, adapting them to their lifestyle. Stores have adjustable layouts, clear key sports segmentation - focused on running, football and fitness – a team of sports experts, visually attractive merchandising and digitally dynamic communication, all focused in giving Clients the best purchasing experience.
