About Springtime Tallahassee Festival

Springtime is a civic organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Tallahassee's history. The Springtime Tallahassee volunteer members, of over 400, along with our community partners and sponsors, produce one of the largest festivals in the Southeast and have been voted one of the Top Events in the USA and the top 10 Events in Florida. The festival includes a free Music Festival concert in downtown Kleman Plaza. Over 9,000 people come to enjoy nationally known artists as they perform. The following day, the festival starts with a Grande Parade of over 100 parade floats, marching units, bands, etc. Alongside the parade, the festival includes Jubilee in the Park from 9am-5pm in the downtown chain of parks. Jubilee features over 180 vendors including many food vendors, along with hand crafted item booths, a Children's Park, entertainment stages, and regional entertainment acts. Attendance at this festival is over 150,000 and this festival weekend brings over 7 million dollars from visitors to the Tallahassee area, according to a 2017 economic impact study performed by Downs and St. Germain Research.. Springtime Tallahassee is also a membership organization of over 350 members divided into five Krewes. They are the working core that makes the Springtime Festival a reality. The Krewes represent five different eras in Florida's history, Spanish, American Territorial, Antebellum Statehood, War and Reconstruction and 20th Century.
