About Sprout Design

Sprout Design Ltd specialise in sustainable innovation and design of new products. Sprout Design was founded in 2004 in London, UK, by Guy Robinson and Robert Brown who won a 'Creative Pioneer Award' from NESTA for their vision to integrate Sustainable and Inclusive Design tools into mainstream Industrial Design Practice. Sprout's work has appeared prominently in the Design Press and won several Awards for innovation projects with inspiring narratives. Guy Robinson has led Sprout Design since 2010, and the design studio is based at No.1 Bermondsey Square in London. Guy Robinson's work was recently on show in the 175 years of the Royal College of Art exhibition of iconic designs by alumni. Guy is a visiting tutor at the Royal College of Art, and in June won the RCA Alumni Award for his contribution to the field of Inclusive and Sustainable Design. Guy studied Manufacturing Engineering at Cambridge and Industrial Design Engineering at the RCA. Sprout he has won over £200,000 of funding for projects as Awards recognising work or as Grants for planned projects from Nesta, Dyson Awards, the Technolgy Strategy Board, WRAP, The Audi Design Foundation, LDA, Inspired Recycling, SMART Awards, British Design Innovation and the Manufacturing Advisory Service. Sprout’s clients have included Virgin Atlantic, Tesco, Asda, WRAP, Lego, B&Q, Kingfisher Group, Forum for the Future, Reckitt Benckiser, Capulet and Pli Design.
