About SPSL
Artist, writer, researcher, academic working across installation, moving image, sound and text. Upcoming projects include solo exhibitions at MAI, Montreal (2014) and Artclub 1563, Seoul (2015). Previous solo projects include 'Lightness', a multi-channel moving image & sound installation commissioned by Film & Video Umbrella and De La Warr Pavilion for 'Everything Flows', De La Warr Pavilion (2012); 'Faster, Higher', a 5-screen work and solo exhibition at WDC Gallery, Winchester (2012), originally commissioned by Film & Video Umbrella and BFI Southbank (2008); and 'Citius, Altius,' a single-channel work commissioned for the Samsung Olympics Media Art Collection and touring programme, 'Blue Crystal Ball' (2012). Earlier projects and exhibitions include 'DIY Ballroom/Live' (2007-08), a Cornerhouse Bigger Picture national touring commission; and 'Golden' (2005-7), an exhibition/residency/publication project with at Chinese Arts Centre, Manchester, and Beaconsfield, London.
