About SpudBAR
Real food. Served fast. In a world where fast food more often than not means junk food, SpudBAR has built a loyal army of fans by busting this myth wide open. Founded in 2000, the concept was born from a simple promise to create delicious food that was healthy, great value, quick and casual. Leveraging the rustic gem of goodness that is the humble spud, the foundation of our bowls are as nutritious as they delicious; not only do our guests benefit from us having mastered the art of baking the perfect spud (light and fluffy on the inside, with a golden crispy skin on the outside), they’ll also benefit on the health front, with spuds being naturally rich in vitamins and minerals, very low in sugar and fat, and much lower in carbs than other meal staples such as pasta, bread and rice. The spud however is only part of this story. The real magic comes from how well the perfectly baked spud pairs with our iconic melted butters (salted, garlic, herb or chilli), our hot toppings (including, but not limited to mild chilli beans, home-style bolognese and creamy butter chicken) and all of our other fresh goodies like smashed avo, sweet corn, baby peas and shredded red cabbage. In summary, we get a kick out of being surprisingly delicious, while catering to all likes, dislikes and dietaries. With SpudBAR, guests are in full control of their dining destiny; they can be as healthy or as indulgent as their heart desires, they can settle in or grab-and-go, and they can fill up on a budget or throw caution to the wind. The choice is theirs.
