Spurley Hey Football Club is a proud, community-driven grassroots football club based in Stockport, Cheshire. Founded in 1968, we have grown into one of the region’s most respected grassroots clubs, providing footballing opportunities to over 300 players across more than 20 teams, from U7s to adult football. We are a 2-Star England Football Accredited Club, a recognition that reflects our commitment to high standards in coaching, safeguarding, and club administration. But more importantly, it reflects the care we take in creating a positive and inclusive footballing environment for all. At Spurley Hey, we believe in developing not just players, but people. Our core values of Teamwork, Respect, Sportsmanship, Discipline, and Enjoyment are at the heart of everything we do, both on and off the pitch. We are a club where children can fall in love with football in a safe and supportive setting; where girls’ football is thriving with dedicated squads and a clear pathway into women’s football; and where a dedicated network of volunteers and coaches work tirelessly to provide the best possible experience for players and families. Our long-term Warth Meadow Vision is guiding our future... an ambitious plan to transform our home ground into a modern, sustainable community facility that serves both football and the wider Stockport community. We are also proud of our alumni, many of whom have gone on to play academy, semi-professional, and professional football. Taylor Harwood-Bellis (Southampton & England U21 captain) and Ben Jackson (Barrow AFC) are just two of the players who began their journeys with Spurley Hey, proof that grassroots football can be the launchpad for great things.
