About SPWebParts

SPWebParts are a new company operating in the North of the UK. Our team has a combined total of over 20 years experience in the IT industry. We realise that Sharepoint is a fabulous framework, enabling teams with no programming experience to quickly build there own systems. However, to really harness the power of Sharepoint, gaps need to be plugged where required functionality is absent from the core framework. This is where web parts come in. They are building blocks that can be dropped onto a page and add the specific functionality you require. We initially identified the need for an easy to use ‘MailMerge’ component that could merge a list to a template document and create the resultant merged document (in Microsoft Word® format) without the user requiring Microsoft Word® installed on their local machine. This prompted the Single Merge Web Part that can be dropped onto the display or edit form of a list and provide a means of merging a single record to a template. Natural progression resulted in the eMail Merge Web Part that works similar to the Bulk Merge Web Part, but instead of creating a document, it mails to a recipient. The final phase in our MailMerge project was to adopt SMS as a transport. As you will no doubt have seen, this is now available as a webpart and also completes our full 'MailMerge' suite.
