About SPWLA Texas Student Chapter (UT Austin)
Our mission is to advance the science of petrophysics and formation evaluation among students and young professionals at UT-Austin. We organize monthly technical lectures presented by industry leading petrophysicists, formation evaluation specialists, and engineers; biannual local and regional special events. Additionally, we provide opportunities to meet and network with experienced petrophysicists, develop leadership skills, and participate in the student paper contest. How and why to become a member: How? - Fill out the student application form online. Why? - Online access to the SPWLA Petrophysics Journal. - Build your professional network. - Access to SPWLA publications for free. - An average of 8 grants are awarded annually. - An average of 16 scholarships are awarded annually.
