The Saudi Scientific Society for Biomedical Engineering (SSSBE) was established in 2003 for biomedical engineers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. (SSSBE) is the official governmental Society in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the umbrella of the Ministry of Higher Education represented by King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. (SSSBE) It is a non-profit organization that provides services to all students, employees and those interested in Biomedical Engineering. Mission Statement: Build upon and improve both the scientific and professional level of performance in the field of biomedical engineering in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The vision of the SSSBE is to serve as s leading society for professionals devoted to developing and using engineering and technology to advance human health and well-being. Goals: • Promote and develop life-long high-quality education and career advancement for biomedical engineers. • Networking opportunities among society members across academia and industry. • Facilitate the exchange of scientific production and ideas as well as cooperation between relevant bodies and organizations inside and outside the Kingdom. • Reinforce the leadership role of biomedical engineers • Promote recognition and visibility of biomedical engineering in the government and public sectors.
