About St. Cecilia School

St. Cecilia School was established in 1924 it is located in the city of Los Angeles( near USC). Nine grades from Kindergarten to 8th are taught. We are a close knit school community with a diverse student population. Many of our students come from 5th and 4th generation St. Cecilia alumni. Our teacher's are professionals who have earned degrees and credentials and continue to take professional workshop and courses to keep current on present day instructional techniques and technology. The tenor for our faculty covers a spectrum from three to over thirty years of teaching experience. Our curriculum core focus on reading, math and langauage art development, also science, social studies, art and music. All classrooms are staffed with computers T.V. DVD,and CD players. We also house a full equipped computer lab, internet access embodies the entire school. After-school tutoring is given to students in need of additional assistance in their sujects. CYO sports in foortball, basketball and volleyball is played with weekdays and week-end games against neighboring schools. After-School Care is an optional service for our students to assist our working parents. Many of our students return to give back to the community after graduating. Our student believe in out motto " Memorization is for the moment but Learning is for a lifetime."
