About St. Francis of the Woods
OVERVIEW St. Francis of the Woods is a not-for-profit spiritual renewal center in Coyle, OK representing St. Francis' love and respect for all creation. All are welcome here. Our mission is to empower people to renew their spirits and transform the world through community, creativity, and care for creation. We do so by hosting individuals, retreats, classes, and projects seeking to connect people to themselves, one another, and the natural world through spirituality, nature, rest, personal growth, and the arts. GROUNDS We care for 500 acres of diverse Oklahoma landscape. You are welcome to walk the grounds during events or on your own. The grounds include forestedtrails, a duck pond, the Bishop John R.C. Adair Memorial Arboretum, and our meditative Prairie Labyrinth. The Hildegarden is a space for education, collaboration, and reciprocity. Produce is available at our self-serve farmstand. PROGRAMS/EVENTS Offerings include Orthodox Christian Chapel services, Prairiewood Forest & Farm School classes, annual festivals, yoga, drum circles, workshops, and volunteer days. LODGING/RETREATS We offer space for day visits, directed retreats, and individual/group lodging. 2 smaller cabins and 2 larger lodges accommodate overnight guests with full kitchens and amenities for overnight stays. Meeting spaces are available for up to 40 guests. Directed spiritual retreats can also be booked. SHOP We offer handcrafted gifts, an annual Wildcrafting Calendar, and other items made by our residents and in line with our mission. CONTEMPLATIVE COMMUNITY Our residential community is made up of individuals dedicated to cultivating peace and united in the healing work of love through deep communion with our neighbor, the earth, and our Creator.
