Located in the heart of New York City, the epicenter of international law and business, St. John's Law offers an outstanding legal education grounded in the fundamentals of legal analysis and theory, and taught by a faculty of dedicated educators and accomplished scholars. We augment our core curriculum by offering students a range of opportunities to learn the law hands on through upper-level, skills-based courses, our 10 in-house and partner clinics, our extensive externship program, and diverse activities sponsored by our our 10 academic centers. A large percentage of our graduating class participated in at least one clinic or externship, and we have hundreds of approved externship providers in the New York City area. Our students also benefit from a redesigned approach to career development that is proactive, integrated, and individualized. Starting their first day at St. John's Law, students work one-on-one with our experienced career counselors to identify and explore career pathways that interest them. Beyond our JD program, we offer American and foreign-trained lawyers the opportunity to continue their legal education and gain targeted expertise in one of our three Masters in Law (LL.M.) programs.
