About St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center

St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center is a faith-based environment providing life skills, education and workplace training, empowering women and men to become self-sufficient. Our mission is to offer a program for at-risk women where they would become more self-reliant and after completing our three year program they would be able to have the education, support, and courage to find a job or go onto college, enabling them to live independently and have a bright future. We found the same need from the men in our community, therefore, soon after provided programs for the men, giving the men a chance at a positive future. N.E.W. Life offers a variety of programs including literacy, computer training, work development and life skills development. We also provide services to the local community including a food pantry, hot meal program, Christmas giveaway, and a donation center for clothing and household items. Recently the organization has shifted to a model of social enterprise. We operate several businesses that employ our program graduates and give them the opportunity to become self-sufficient. The types of jobs we create save and change lives.
