Since 1903, in union with our sponsors, the Sisters of Mary of the Presentation (SMP), we have carried on the apostolic mission given to us by our founders and that is something that will never change. While the hospital itself consists of almost 200,000 square feet, St. Margaret’s Health also reaches out to areas not close enough for routine and emergency healthcare with a system of St. Margaret’s Health clinics, as well as, two walk-in facilities for minor illnesses and injuries. Nestled near the banks of the Illinois River, St. Margaret’s Hospital currently has a courtesy and consulting medical staff of over 100 physicians and a network of primary and specialty physicians.
