About St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy
SPSA is a Pre-K3 - 8th grade Catholic Academy in Dallas, TX and we are providing a safe, rigorous, faith-based education with a holistic, family-centered approach. Established in 2015, SPSA is the only Catholic Elementary and Middle School in Southeast Dallas. The academy model serves students from all over the Dallas Metroplex and is operated as a standalone non-profit organization. As a non-profit, SPSA is not financially supported by a Catholic parish or the Catholic Diocese. We operate as a 501(c)(3) educational entity and rely on the generosity of our community and donors to help fund our mission. We are driven by our mission and empower all of our students to be critical thinkers, self-advocates, productive moral citizens, and spiritual leaders. We are creating lasting change in our community and developing the future leaders of Southeast Dallas and beyond. Our transformative educational approach also recognizes our parents as the primary educators of our students. We offer a monthly Parent Engagement and Education Program (PEEP) where we provide parents with the tools and resources they need to support their families and their children’s development. These topics, selected by the parents, cover subjects such as mental health, financial literacy, community and online safety, and the importance of higher education. Our program is designed to empower them to take an active role in their child’s education and ensures each student's education continues far beyond the classroom.
