We are a nonprofit labor union dedicated to advocating for the employees of the St. Tammany Parish School System. Chartered on June 1, 1979, our union has a proud history of championing the rights of school employees. Under the leadership of Ms. Elsie Burkhalter, we secured collective bargaining in 1991 and established a Health and Welfare Fund in 1993, which provides free dental insurance to all bargaining unit employees. Following in the footsteps of our past leaders—Elsie Burkhalter and Deborah Green—Brant Osborn and his team continue to strive for the best possible wages, benefits, and working conditions. Under Brant Osborn’s leadership, our team successfully negotiated the largest single-year pay raise in the district’s history for the 2022-2023 school year and recently defended our collective bargaining rights with the strong support of our members. Our focus remains steadfast: to achieve the best possible outcomes for all employees.
