Mission: Rooted in our Catholic Vincentian tradition, SV nurtures the mind, heart, and soul of the individual, empowering students with the character and intellectual curiosity to put God’s love into action. MIND: Through a traditional Catholic, college preparatory approach, SV aims to graduate students who are creative, critical thinkers and collaborators, who can communicate effectively with any audience. Our students are taught to research and conduct inquiry-based investigations where they are challenged to analyze evidence and use their creative expression to produce excellent work. HEART: We form a tight-knit community through interpersonal engagement and a commitment to the practice of good works. SV encourages our students to recognize that they are not only responsible for themselves but called to give of their time, talent, and blessings, as individuals and a community, to the greater good. Our service program anchors the educational experience as we seek to know those we serve. SOUL: SV invites and challenges each student to examine religious traditions and ask searching questions about life’s meaning and purpose. Supported by campus ministry and our theology curriculum, we present the Catholic faith and accompany all students on a spiritual journey to live authentic lives, pursue holiness, discern their calling, and bear witness to the truth of love.
