When part of the industry it’s easy to assume that people know what an adviser does, and the value they bring. At a first meeting, particularly with those who have not dealt with an adviser before, I am often asked what the purpose of advice is and what we bring to the table. I have never found a better explanation than to say that I want my clients to concentrate on enjoying their lives; travel, hobbies, special moments with family, safe in the knowledge that they have a financial plan in place aiming to help secure their future.
