About Stamford Dollars for Scholars
Stamford Dollars for Scholars® was conceived around a simple idea: together we can step in and help local students achieve their educational goals. There’s no greater gift we can give our student neighbors-in-need than access to the tools to create a brighter future. Doing so tells them that we take pride in their determination and share their dreams. Our Mission: To provide scholarships to local students who want to pursue education beyond high school. We build awareness, raise funds, mobilize the community, and award scholarships. Stamford Dollars for Scholars has the support and resources of Scholarship America and the Dollars for Scholars Nationwide Organization - nearly 500 locally based, volunteer-driven chapters serving students in nearly 3,500 communities across the country. Together Dollars for Scholars chapters have awarded scholarships to almost 600,000 students totaling more than $441 Million.
